I agree, poopypants. Those two brackets (along with the JG-Eastsiders one) perplexed me a little too. I think the council did a great job with a thankless task. But 4-5 division rivals (if you can really use that label when referring to 4 or 5 teams) in the same bracket seems like, maybe, the pot should been stirred up a bit more.

I can totally see how the council would (over?) rely on the numbers, since about everything they do prompts cries of bias, nepotism and the like. (Incorrectly, in my opinion.) But a little manipulation in favor or fresher match-ups would have been just fine by me--especially re: the 5s-7s. (But, then, I wouldn't have minded the Eastsiders and the Sword being swapped straight-up either. Both to separate the top two seeds from the WSB, and to delay a potentially HUGE match-up between a couple of league lions at least until the semis.)

But then, I've always thought of kickball as being just as rewarding a spectator experience--especially when enjoying cool beers and high-level match-ups in our city's beautiful parks. So whatever tweaks can be made to enhance viewer interest are A-OK in my book. (Part of why I am so ambivalent about the stature of the bunt in our league, but thats a topic for another thread--or three.) But I am sure Ann Coulter and her laissez-faire advocates would resent the notion...

Yes the brackets look great, I just wish that the Sun Creations bracket which has five teams from their division, and the Eldridge bracket with four, were a bit more split up like the other side. I know mathmatics and seeding and all but what is the difference between this 5 seed for that 5 seed, or this 7 seed for that 7 seed. Switching teams like that couldnt have been that big of deal. Right???? Does anyone else from those 9 teams agree?

Fear not, Deron! If everything goes according to my daydreams, Blue Collar will make sure you don't play the Eastsiders :) Seriously, though, the bracket looks great. Best of luck to everyone!
